The Government of Saskatchewan has awarded a five-year, $38 million dollar information technology deal to WBM Office Systems, a Saskatchewan-based company with offices in Regina and Saskatoon.  WBM won the tender on the basis of “best value” that the government recently made the standard for those ministries that previously selected on the basis of lowest cost.

Watch Out for Unregistered Sellers of Binary Options

Financial and Consumer Affairs Authority of Saskatchewan (FCAA) issued two decisions on February 19, 2016, against unregistered companies acting as online dealers for investment in binary options.  The decisions in both matters determined that binary options are considered securities and are subject to Saskatchewan’s securities legislation.

Private-Pay MRI Services Begin in Saskatchewan

Patients now have the option to choose to directly pay a private facility for a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scan in Saskatchewan.  Facilities that conduct a private MRI scan must also provide a second scan at no charge to an individual who is on the public waiting list.
