“Saskjobs.ca has served job seekers and employers well, helping to promote tens of thousands of opportunities in the province since it was introduced in 1999,” Economy Minister Steven Bonk said. “This partnership with the National Job Bank will provide more features and benefits, and is part of the Government of Saskatchewan’s commitment to help attract and retain skilled workers in the province.”
The improvements will offer users numerous enhancements, including:
- Job matching services which will help employers effectively target and recruit registered job seekers whose skills and experiences match their job needs;
- Job alerts which registered job seekers can sign up for, receiving emails informing them when new positions are posted that align with their user profiles;
- Career planning tools to help job seekers chart their career paths; and
- Comprehensive labour market information about different occupations, including data on wages, occupational outlooks, education and skills needed.
