Pats Day At The Royal Saskatchewan Museum
We all know dogs love bones, and the Regina Pats beloved mascot is no exception. K-9 will visit his good friends, Munchie and Tini at the Royal Saskatchewan Museum (RSM) and see some of the largest bones ever dug up when he’s introduced to Scotty, the world’s largest T.rex.
“The Regina Pats are a beloved team to multiple generations of dedicated hockey fans, and the same goes for generations of visitors to the RSM,” Parks, Culture and Sport Minister Gene Makowsky said. “By having a Pats Day at the Museum, we can celebrate the two institutions and bring in new fans for both.”
Join K-9 for Pats Day at the Museum on Sunday December 8 from 2 to 4 p.m. for an up-close look at Scotty in the amazing CN T.rex Gallery. Have your photograph taken with the mascots and try out the gallery’s new interactive displays. Tag selfies with #RSMday and be entered to win a pack of ten tickets to any upcoming Pats game. Wear your Pats gear – surprise ticket giveaways will also happen throughout the event.
“We are excited to be part of Regina Pats Day at the Royal Saskatchewan Museum,” Pats Chief Operating Officer Stacey Cattell said. “The RSM has been a great partner to our organization and we look forward to a great day to celebrate two long standing organizations in our city. We encourage Pats fans of all ages to put on their Pats gear and join K-9 as he visits some of his special friends at the Museum.”
This year, the RSM, the Pats and the Friends of the RSM became promotional partners with a focus on Sunday family fun game days. As part of that, anyone who attends a Pats game can redeem their ticket stub within a week at the RSM gift shop for a 20 per cent discount. As the holiday season approaches, the RSM gift shop offers an amazing range of items for children and adults, including new Scotty Christmas shirts.
There is always something exciting happening at the RSM.
