Saskatchewan Remembers Holodomor

Today, Saskatchewan-Ukraine Relations Legislative Secretary Ken Krawetz helped light a memorial candle at the Saskatchewan Legislative Building to remember the millions of victims of Holodomor, a man-made famine that devastated Ukraine in the 1930s.

Ernst & Young Confirms Regina Bypass P3 Saves $380 Million

The Saskatchewan Government released the value for money report for the publicly owned Regina Bypass project, which was prepared by Ernst & Young.  The independent procurement and financial experts confirm the P3 model will save taxpayers $380 million, or a little more than 16 per cent, compared to a traditional model.  These savings include P3-related costs, such as private financing.

Tisdale Celebrates Long-Term Care Centre Grand Opening

Health care workers, families, residents and special guests today celebrated the grand opening of Newmarket Place in Tisdale which includes a long-term care addition that will improve services for its residents.  Rural and Remote Health Minister Greg Ottenbreit and Carrot River Valley MLA Fred Bradshaw joined in the celebration.

Major Expansion Completed at Holy Cross High School

Today Education Minister Don Morgan joined representatives of Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools, along with students, teachers, and members of the community to celebrate the renovations and expansion of Holy Cross High School.  The Government of Saskatchewan has committed more than $29 million toward this facility.

Canora Celebrates New Health and Wellness Centre Grand Opening

Today, Canora celebrated the grand opening of the Health and Wellness Centre in the newly-renovated space at Canora Hospital.  The primary health care clinic and Collaborative Emergency Centre (CEC) have recently been co-located at the centre to better serve patients.
