Warren Kaeding

Melville-Saltcoats

Warren Kaeding was first elected MLA for Melville-Saltcoats in the 2016 provincial election. He was re-elected in 2020.

Warren received his Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from the University of Saskatchewan in 1985 and worked as a territory manager for Hoechst AG from 1986-1996. From 1986-2011, Warren was also owner/operator of Wagon Wheel Seed Corporation.

Warren has served as the executive director for the Sask Farm Stewardship Association, advisor to the Agriculture Development Fund, and crop inspector with Maxcor Ventures. In addition to his busy professional life, Warren is involved in his community as chair of the local economic development board, elder in his church, member of the Lions Club, and an official with local minor hockey and baseball.

He has served as Minister of Environment, Minister of Government Relations, Minister of First Nations, Métis and Northern Affairs, Minister responsible for Rural and Remote Health, and Minister responsible for Seniors. Warren has also worked as a Legislative Secretary to the Minister of Agriculture (irrigation expansion), as well as a Legislative Secretary to the Minister responsible for SaskTel (cellular coverage and internet coverage).

He has served as a member of the Standing Committee on Crown and Central Agencies, the Public Accounts Committee, the Standing Committee on the Economy. Warren has also served on the Treasury Board and the caucus Legislation and Regulation Review Committee. He is currently a member of the Standing Committee on Human Services.

Warren and his wife Carla have two adult sons.
