Kevin Phillips


Kevin Phillips was first elected to the Saskatchewan Legislature in the 2011 provincial election.  He was re-elected in 2016.

Kevin has lived in the Melfort constituency for nearly 40 years.  He has worked in business and advertising in Melfort, which includes being a partner with the Melfort Journal for over 25 years, and sitting on the board of the Canadian Community Newspaper Association.  He most recently served as Mayor of Melfort.

Kevin has been very involved in the Melfort community.  He is a past president of the Kinsmen Club of Melfort and previously served as a board member and chairman of the then Melfort School Division.

Kevin says the new attitude in Saskatchewan under the leadership of Premier Brad Wall and the Saskatchewan Party government is present in the constituency of Melfort through many economic initiatives and capital investments.

Kevin is Deputy Whip and serves as a member of the Standing Committee on Crowns and Central Agencies, a member of the House Services Committee and as a member of the Legislation and Regulation Review Red Tape Committee.

Kevin and his wife April together have four children and five grandchildren.
